Science- We reviewed what we learned about architecture.

History- We talked about the fall of the Western Roman Empire.

English- We looked at a research paper example.

Math- We learned about the triangle-sum property.

April 19th: Wednesday at 6:23 we left to go to our family reunion in Laughlin Nevada. We drove through Texas for about 7 hours and drove 1 hour in New Mexico. After that we stayed in a hotel for the night.

April 20th: Thursday we left at 7:00, drove through the rest of New Mexico for 2 hours, then arrived in Arizona. We saw many mountains and cacti. We drove 7 hours through Arizona, and then we arrived in Laughlin, Nevada where our hotel was. This is the hotel where we had our family reunion. It was called the Aquarius. We were on the 3rd floor with a large deck (which was the roof of the center building) connecting the two towers.

April 21st: When we woke up, there were locusts EVERYWHERE outside our door, all over the hotel, and around the hotel.  It was gross.  Some got inside the building by the elevators.  We went downstairs and had a family gathering in a cafe for breakfast. After this, we went to the pool and relaxed most of the day. At 4:00 we had a big family gathering that lasted 2 hours. During this I learned that some of our extended family was from Mexico.

April 22nd: We had breakfast at McDonalds with other family members. At 12:30, we went on a boat down the Colorado River and saw Davis Dam. We learned many things during this boat ride about the history of the river, the history of Laughlin, and the history of BullHead City, Arizona. After this, we had another big family gathering where we played a game that we like to play every year called Left Right Center, and if you don’t know how to play it, then you should try learning how to play. That night we also went bowling and played laser tag.

April 23rd: We had our last family gathering at Cafe Aquarius and we got to see Hoover Dam! This was very exciting. We didn’t stay long, but we got to see this Dam and it was HUGE!! We took many photos and pictures. When we got back we went to a Mexican restaurant.

April 24th: We headed back home. We drove 9 hours to New Mexico until we stayed in a hotel for the night.

April 25th: We arrived home after an 8 hour drive.

Science- We talked about what skills you would need to become an architect.

History- We talked about another Roman Emperor, Romulus Augustulus he was also the last Emperor of The Roman Empire.

English- We reviewed the book Just So Stories.

Math- We talked about the triangle inequality.

Science- We talked even more about Architecture.

History- We talked about another Roman Emperor, Honorius.

English- We read How The First Letter Was Written and How The Alphabet Was Made in the book Just so stories.

Math- We talked about the area of a triangle.

Science- We talked about the history of Architecture. We talked about Greek, Roman, Modern, and other types of Architecture.

History- We talked about another Roman Emperor, Theodosius.

English- We read two more stories, The Elephant’s Child and The Beginning of the Armadillo in the book Just So Stories.

Math- We talked about the Pythagorean Theorem.

Science- We talked about landscape architecture.

History- We reviewed what we learned about Church father and Apostolic fathers.

English- We read, How The Rhinoceros Got His Skin and How The Leopard Got His Spots in the book Just So Stories.

Math- We reviewed translations, rotation, tessellations, and reflections.

Science- We reviewed what we learned about weather because will will e talking about a new subject.

History- We talked about two more Church Fathers, Saint Jerome and Saint Augustine.

English- We started reading a new book, Just So Stories we read How the Whale got His Throat and How the Camel got His Hump.

Math- We talked about Tessellations.

Science- We talked about weather satellites.

History- We talked about Athanasius and Ambrose. They were both very famous Church Fathers.

English- We talked even more about how to write a research paper.

Math- We talked about rotations.

Science- We talked about the Doppler Radar. This is a very big weather tool that sometimes people like to call a soccer ball because it looks like a soccer ball.

History- We talked about the Church Fathers. One of them was Origen.

English- We talked about writing a research paper with taking notes and we looked at an example.

Math- We talked about reflections and symmetry.

Science- We talked about weather forecasting.

History- We talked about the Apostolic Fathers. These people were directly called to be the Apostolic Fathers from Jesus.

English- We talked even more about writing a research paper.

Math- We talked about translations with line graphs.
