What I Learned Today

Science- We reviewed wind erosion, soil conservation, dams/watershed conservation, and wetland conservation.

History- We talked about the end of the 2nd Punic war and the 3rd Punic War. Hannibal Raided into Rome lasted 17 years, he was marching around Italy and taking out many Roman soldiers. He was unable to defeat the large armies. One of the Roman’s leaders cut off Hannibal supply line, so Hannibal was not able to get any resources. Now the were stranded in Italy, so he was forced to retreat. The war ended at the the battle of Zama. Carthage lost big time and Rome won. The third Punic war started more than 30 years later. While Rome was fighting other people the Carthage slowly recovered. Rome soon declared war on them because there were upset that they had a large army, but were not fighting. The third Punic war only lasted until Carthage was completely dead.

English-We talked about punctuating with colons and apostrophes.

Math- We talked about getting equation from graphs.
