What I Learned Today

Science- We talked about soil conservation practices. Which is how to deal with soil erosion.

History- We talked about the Carthage, and the Pyrrhic War. Carthage was founded the year 814 BC., Carthage is located on the coast of North Africa. According to the legend, it was founded by a Phoenician Queen names Elissa. When her brother became king she fled to make a new kingdom. Then the Pyrrhic War was Carthage and Rome against Italy and the Greeks. It started because of violating some peace treaties. Later the Samnites, Etruscans, and Thurii. The Romans and Carnthage won, but this set up and Punic Wars, which we learn about tomorrow.

English- We talked about punctuating with Hyphens.

Math- We talked about graphing nonlinear equations.
